Happy Birthday Choo you!

It's a special little boy's birthday party tomorrow, to which we are invited, so of course I've made a special card.
William was 2 yesterday, Happy Birthday William!



Just like many typical boys he loves cars, trucks, trains, anything with wheels and even better if it makes a noise!! So of course I had to make a card using the Choo Choo stamp set.
I love this shape and style of card. It's only the second one I've made!!!

I used the On Track SU wheel to stamp the track in Chocolate Chip. The rest of the colours are from the Bold Brights family which are perfect for toddler/kids cards. I used the All in the Family Accessories stamp set to add presents and balloons to the train and I added dimentionals to lift them off the card.

Here's a side view so you can see the dimention.

The number 2 was cut on my Cricut and added to a circle and scallop circle and raised up on dimentionals to create a stopper for the card.

I hope William likes it!!

We've been out for a lovely autumn walk this afternoon and got some lovely photos. The boys had great fun kicking through the leaves.

We have another very busy Sunday so I'll be back on Monday.

Seeing Stars!!

I'm trying to get myself organised for Christmas so I decided I would play around with designs for our family Christmas card.
I've used one of my fav Christmas sets Wonderous Gift and inspired by the picture used in the new catalogue for this set I created this!


I've used Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, Close to Cocoa and Whisper White as the colour scheme.



Here's (a not so good!!!) arty angle so you can see where I added the dimention and you can just make out the glitter on the snow, which was made using the SU scallop edge punch.

I've made a few cards with this design but I'm still not sure that I've found the perfect Christmas card yet.

Busy day today running about catching up on jobs and delivering SU goodies to my customers then it's over to Elaine's (my SU sister and friend) for pizza, yum!!
Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with a card to show you.

Penguin Tutorial

Several of my blog readers have asked me if I will tell them how I made my little penguin friend so here is a picture tutorial (it's the first one I've ever done so I hope it's not too long and that you can understand it!).

To make a penguin you need the following SU punches: 1/2" circle, 1"circle, 1 3/8" circle, oval and boho blossoms.
Punch a 1/2" circle in white, 1" circle in black, 1 3\8" in black, the oval in white and orange and one of the flowers in orange.

Lay the white oval over the 1 3/8" circle and using the black circle as a guide, trim off the excess of the white oval.

Use the Barely Banana ink pad to ink the bottom edges of the white oval.

Cut the orange oval in half length ways.

Stick the white inked oval on top of the black 1 3/8" circle and then stick the half orange oval on the back as shown below.

Cut the pointed orange flower in half and then cut off an individual petal as shown below.

Layer the 1/2" white circle on top of the black 1" circle to create the head. Add the petal as a beak.

Attach the head to the body and add some eyes using a black pen.

If you wish to leave him like this then you can or you can punch a black oval to make some wings.

Cut the black oval in half length ways then cut one of the halves in half again as shown below.

Attach each wing to the back of the penguin. I found it best to put the glue on the back of the penguin then roughly position the wing, then turn him over and adjust from the front.

You should have one finished penguin!

He looks great on cards and bookmarks or maybe as a topper for a Christmas gift or goodie bag for a Christmas fair.

Noel!

We took the boys to our local garden centre at the weekend for the first of many trips to see the Christmas displays. It's become a bit of a tradition.
While we were there I found this plain wood Noel decoration. It's perfect for altering/decorating ready for Christmas.

I have used Real Red card stock glittered with snowflakes using the tiny snowflake stamp from the Prefect Presents stamp set, Versamark and Dazzling Diamonds.

I used the rest of the Perfect Presents set to decorate the rest of the word. It's very festive and so simple to do.

I'm thinking I might get everyone doing these at my Christmas Stamp-a-Stack at the end of the month, what do you think girls??

Cold and Frosty!!

No not the snowman but a penguin!
Isn't he cute. He is made entirely from Stampin'Up punches of different shapes and sizes. I've seen loads of people make lovely animals just using the punches so decided I would have a go too. What do you think?



He is sat on a snowy background of torn Whisper White paper and Bashful Blue card stock that is glittered using the new Sparkling Jumbo Wheel, Versamark ink and Dazzling Diamonds.

I think he is looking abit lonely and needs a friend!!

Jem's Cards

Well as promised here are the rest of the cards we made at the Jems weekend away. It's such a fab selection and all of them are so different.

I love these colours. The card blank is Bordering Blue with Creamy Caramel layered on top. The images are stamped on Very Vanilla. The inks used are Bordering Blue, Night of Navy, Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa. The ribbon is Chocolate Chip which is becoming a fav of mine!!

We are having a relaxing weekend which means some crafting for me, yeah!!

So I'll be back on Monday with a little punch friend of mine for you to meet.

Party Night!!

Last night was my new catalogue launch party. I had a lovely group of ladies join me to make cards using some of the new items from the new catalogue. The items only arrived the day before!!!


Here is my display of new samples including all those lovely cards we made at the weekend (I'll show the rest of those tomorrow).

Here is the card we made using the Good Friend set and the Say It With Scallops set. The background paper is from the new Perfect Plum designer papers. The card stock is Sahara Sand and the greeting is stamped in the new craft white ink on Perfect Plum card stock.

Here's the arty angle. We used the dimensionals to raise the greeting off the card slightly.

We also made these sweet little love notes, so quick and easy, using the Say It With Scallops set and matching punch, white ink again this time stamped on Chocolate Chip card, Creamy Caramel card stock and Chocolate Chip ribbon.

I think I'll be making more of these!!

I can't believe it's Friday already!! Thankfully this weekend is not quite so busy so I may just get the chance to craft! Or maybe I'm just being to hopeful!
