It will be strange going there with Ben as I got so used to it being Samuel that went there. I'm hoping to make some cards this evening when the boys have gone to bed so I may manage a quick post tomorrow afternoon!

Christmas in June!!!

I know it's strange making Christmas cards in this weather, but I like to be organised. So to help everyone else get organised we made some Christmas cards at my card class on Thursday night.

I keep the cards simple enough so that if you wanted to make LOADS for sending to all your friends and family, they would be easy enough to re create.
This card has some of the lovely Ski Slope papers on it from the mini catalogue. They are lovely papers, great colours and perfect for other occasions as well as Christmas.
I used some thread around the tree so it looked like it was tied on to the top of the truck, then I used SU dimentionals to raise it up off the card.
We are having yet another bust weekend, my parents have come up to see us so today we went strawberry picking and had a BBQ. I'll post some pics for you to see on Monday. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Don't Worry....

.....I'm still alive!!
I have had loads of bits to sort out with the new computer including changing my email address.
Most things are sorted now!
Anyway, today I'm going with Samuel on his school trip to the farm, which pleased Samuel as I normally can't go as I have Ben to look after. Ben is spending the day at his Godmother's house whiched pleased him too!

I'll be back later with a sneak peak at the cards we are making at my card class this week.
Till then!

New Computer!!!!

Look what I've got, a new computer, a baby one and it's PINK!!
We've been having several problems with our main computer and as I was using it more and more we decided it was sensible to get me one of my own and transfer all my "stuff" in the hope that the main computer perks up a bit!

So here is my Samsung NC10 netbook. My bargain in the Argos sale! It fits nicely into my handbag so I can take it where ever I go.
And look what finally came today, my box of SU goodies! Now I need to get a wriggle on and make up the kits and card samples for my next class on Thursday.

As usual we have a busy weekend, the boys are at football then we are off out as a family for Fathers Day then on Sunday the band are playing at church in the morning and we have a church family picnic in the afternoon. Lets hope the weather is good.
I hope you all have a good weekend whatever you are up to and enjoy Fathers Day!

Teacher's Gift Part 1

As things are very hectic here I'm trying to get organised so that I don't forget to make gifts for Samuel's teachers.

I decided that I would make a girly version of the post it holder I made for Father's day.
So of course I had to use pink!! And of course it's a great excuse to use chocolate brown too as they go together so well.
These mini post it note holders are great for using up scraps of paper too, these are from the Sweet Always SU paper pack and the flowers are a mix of prima flowers from my stash and punched flowers using the SU punches.
I have a busy couple of weeks again but I'm hoping that things will calm down a little as we get closer to the summer break. Then hopefully I can find some more crafting time. Right I'm off now to sort out some more music for tonights band rehearsal.
Hope you don't get too wet!!

Jems Challenge 4

I'm a bit late in posting this due to the hectic week we've had, but better late than never!!

Siobhan sent us a fab kit for male cards, perfect for Fathers Day, and I think I sued everything but 1 button and 1 brad.

This image is perfect for my Dad who is a keen golfer in his spare time. And as a bit of fun I added a button for a golf ball!

I hope you like them!

I'll be back next next week with some more, hopefully!!

Thank You!!

I just wanted to say a big thank you to the girls who joined me last night for the Father's Day card class. I had a lovely time and hope you all did too!
We made a fab wallet card and post it note holder (shown in an earlier post) and they all looked fab!

It's been another hectic week and it doesn't stop this weekend either!!! I hope the sun stays out and that you get to enjoy it.

I'll be back as soon as I can with some new cards to show you.

Balloon Boy!

Birthday cards for boys are often difficult, but since I have had the All in the Family stamp set from Stampin'Up, boys and mens cards have become much easier to design.
This little boy is so cute!

I coloured this little chap with my SU markers, Bashful Blue, Barely Banana and Certainly Celery. The papers are by Basic Grey and I added a few flowers and some card candy (raised dots).

Sorry the pics aren't the best! With all this cloudy, grey weather finding the right light for taking pictures has been difficult!

Well we have had another busy weekend and have another busy week ahead. Don't forget my One For The Boys card class on Thursday, I have space for a few extras if anyone wants to join us!

A message from the little people!!

A very good friend of mine celebrated his birthday this week, so of course I had to make a card for him, and decided to use the All in the Family Stampin'Up set. This is what I created.

I used the Summer Picnic papers which are becoming a great favourite, perfect colours for boys cards.

Nigel has a fab ring tone on his phone that he has set for messages, which is a little Irish guy saying "answer your phone it could be a message from the little people!" which always makes us laugh!
So happy birthday Nigel and I hope you like the message from our little people!!

Hope you all have a good weekend, ours is busy so I'll be back on Monday.

Fathers Day Ideas!

I've been searching for some ideas of cards and gifts to make with my ladies at my Fathers Day class. I've seen lots of wallet style cards around on Splitcoast Stampers and decided to have at go at making my own just using Stampin'Up items.

I added some detail to both the front and inside by drawing some faux stitching in a darker brown, Close to Cocoa SU marker.

Inside I createded some pockets with a pull out card for a greeting. I am going to put some photos in the other pockets and maybe a gift cheque too!

I have recently bought some beer mats and decided they would be the ideal size to make a mini post it holder, with two loops of ribbon to make a pen holder.

These would be perfect for teacher gifts too some I'm going to experiment with some girly versions for Samuel to take to school.
Right I have a date with the ironing board and I need to get Samuel's bags ready for his return to school tomorrow.

Tiddly om pom pom!!

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside!!

Well with all this lovely weather who could resist a day at the seaside with the hubby and the boys. Not me!

So we've been to Morecambe for the day, built sandcastles, had fish & chips and ice cream and of course bought some rock!!

We had a fab family day!!
Sorry I have no crafty bits to show you, normal service should be resumed tomorrow as I have some cards to make and samples for my next card class.
See you tomorrow!
