World Record Attempt!

Yesterday we had a great afternoon at the Media Museum here in
Bradford with hundreds of others!
The boys took their DS's along to join in the world record attempt
for the most number of people playing on a DS simultaneously!
They met Mario, we were interviewed by BBC Radio Leeds,
and had our pics and were filmed my the media museum.

It made for a great afternoon.
And to top it off we broke the world record!!!
Yeah!!

I'll be back tomorrow with some craft.

Birthday Monkey

Good morning!
Sorry for not posting yesterday.
We had a day out at the seaside, so it meant a very early start.
The boys had great fun playing on the beach in the sun.

Anyway on to todays card.
A birthday monkey for Sam who's birthday party was Saturday.

I've used the Fox & Friends stamp set and some of the papers from the
Sweet Pea paper pack.
The colours I've used are Real Red, Old Olive and Pumkin Pie.

The background on the card is created by randomly stamping the
Happy Birthday stamp from the Occasional Greetings stamp set in Real Red
to match the card.

Right we are off to kids club.

Soft Silhouette

Hope your enjoying the weekend of the summer hols!
Could do with a bit more sun, but hopefuly it's on it's way.

Here is a quick note card that I used at a recent workshop
using the new colours,
Soft Suede and Rich Razzelberry.

I've used some of the lovely Cottage Wall papers that are sooo nice
I've hardly used them!
And even now I have only used a small amount!
I just can't bear to cut them!
The stamp set used is Pocket Silhouettes, which I've stamped in Soft Suede.

I love making note cards this size.
They are so quick to do and very satisfying!

Well I have a busy week planned for the boys,
including a trip to the seaside tomorrow.
Let's hope the sun comes out!!!

Teachers Cards

Here are the teachers cards I made for the boys to take into
school with their gifts.
I decided it was time to use the Tart & Tangy set that has sat on my
shelf for a long time without being used!!!

Of course the apple is perfect for a teachers card.
I stamped it in Real Red and used my Scallop Oval punch
to punch the corner of the apple so it looks like it's been
nibbled!!
I've also used Bashful Blue and Crumb Cake (Kraft) and a bit of Chocolate Chip.

Today is the last day of term and I have collected Ben from Nursery
for the very last time :(
Here he is at his Record of Achievement presentation on Wednesday.
He is really looking forward to starting in Reception in September.
The house is going to be very quiet without him!

Teachers Gifts

The boys have taken their gifts for their teachers to school today.
So here is what they took.
A cute little decorated note pad.

I did 2 designs, I'm not sure which is my favourite.
They both use the Sweet Pea papers and the Vintage Vogue
stamp set.
I added some glitz using a rhinestone brad from the
Pretties Kit.

Then they have a handmade keyring/bagcharm.
These were very quick and easy to make.
I've the stuff for making these for ages, just sat in a cupboard.
Think I might get the kids making some over the holidays.

And here they are all baged up with chocolates and gift tag.

I hope they like them!

A Paper Bag!

Sorry for not having posted this earlier but this week went
a bit haywire when I had to take Samuel to A&E after
a very nasty bump to the head at school!!
Thankfully he is fine, just very bruised.

Anyway back to craft.
Here is one of the projects I made at Julies all day
papercraft event on Saturday.
It's a cute gift bag!

Look it even has a pocket inside!

And look at this cute little envelope tag!
I had great fun making this and it was so easy.

I was going to use the template for teachers gifts but sadly
ran out of time.
Pop back tomorrow and I'll show you what the
boys have taken into school.

Friends

Just a quick post today to show you the gift bag I made
for the coasters to go in.
I prettied up this simple box by using the Very Vintage jumbo wheel
down the one side using Pretty in Pink ink to match the card.
The friends stamped image is from the Vintage Vouge set and is stamped in
Chocolate Chip and layered on a piece of Barely Banana card.
I also used the flowers and stamped them in Barely Banana and
Pretty in Pink using the rock and roll technique.
I layered them up using 3d foam and I added a pearl
to the centre for a touch of class!

Yesterday I spent the day with my lovely upline Jules, some of my fellow Jems
and Julies lovely crafty ladies.
I had a fab day, lots of craft, lovely food and loads
of laughs!
I'll be back tomorrow to show you the first project
I made.

A Parting Gift

Morning!
This mornings post is one that I didn't really want to have to do.
Our good friends Sharon & Graham are sadly leaving Yorkshire
for the land of Wales.

These are the gifts I made them.

A coaster each with their names on for them to have in their office.
I made Sharon's using the Hello Again stamp set.

Graham's was made using the Fox & Friends set, the monkey is very
appropriate for Graham.

Right must dash, car to the garage and kids to school!

Ben's Picture

So here it is, Ben's masterpiece!
He was very well behaved while Mummy demonstrated
to the lovely ladies of the Holmewood craft group.
While the ladies had their chance to play with my stamps,
so did Ben!!

He used his favourite colours, Real Red, Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue
and he used his favourite stamp set, Choo Choo
and the matching wheel.
He then very carefully drew the passengers and cargo, the sun and the cloud.

Looks like I could have another stamp addict on my hands :)

Subtle Silhouettes

Afternoon!!

Just a quick post today today to show you
another card I made using the Pocket Silhouettes
set while it was sat on my desk.

This time I've used colours from the soft subtles family,
Pretty in Pink, Barely Banana and Certainly Celery.

Ben and I have had a lovely afternoon with the ladies from the
Holmewood craft group, introducing them to all the lovely
Stampin'Up products.

Pop back tomorrow and I'll show what Ben made
while we were all bust crafting.

Thanks So Much!

Hello!
Sorry for the lack of posts over the last few days.
These last few weeks of term are very busy so my posting will be as and when
until we have finished school and work for the summer.

Here is a quick post to show you the card I am making with a group
of ladies at Sara's workshop tomorrow evening.
It uses the new colours, Soft Suede, Rich Razzelberry and Melon Mambo
and the very versatile Pocket Silhouettes stamp set.
And of course I've added some yummy spotty ribbon to to finish it off.

Right, time to go and get my box packed ready for the workshop
so it's not a rush tomorrow as the boys are off school for an inset day.
I feel a visit to the play centre coming on!!!

Special Birthday

The weather here is a bit grim!!
So hopefully this will brighten your day,
the second card my I made with my ladies at card class
on Thursday.

I wanted to make something a bit special as I had someone special in mind
to send this card to.
I've used a combination of Flight of the Butterfly and Pocket Silhouettes stamp sets
as well as the butterfly punch and used the colours Pretty in Pink,
Kraft and Close to Cocoa.

Here is a close up of the butterflies made using acete and the white craft in pad.
A lovely effect that is so simple but looks soooo pretty!

So, this card should have now landed safely on the doormat of my
Stampin'Up Mummy (upline) Julie!!
I hope you had a fab birthday.

Flutterby!

Morning!
Yet another busy week, roll on the summer holidays!
Only 3 weeks left!!

Anyway, onto some crafty business.
Here is one of the very pretty cards we made at last nights
card class using the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and matching punch.

This is the male card, hence the collection of greens and lack of ribbon etc!!
I've used Close to Cocoa and Kraft (soon to be known as Crumb Cake) as the base
for the card with some designer paper from the Sweet Pea collection.

The butterflies are in a collection of greens, Old Olive, Sage Shadow,
and Certainly Celery.
The flat backed pearls are from the Pretties kit and add a touch of class
to the card!!

I'll show you the female version tomorrow.

Right time to get some work done.
