Simply Said!

I though I should show you a card I made last night at our Jems "virtual" get together. Julie, my SU Mum set a great challenge, using the colours Old Olive, Real Red and Basic Black. We had about 45 mins to come up with something!

It's not my best card! I don't seem to work well under pressure, I like time to plan and move bits of paper round. It's great fun though and fab to see what all the other girls come up with.

Why not have a go at this challenge yourself and see what you can come up with! It would be great to see your creations, so why not leave a comment and a link to your card.

That's all for now, we are taking a well earned break for a few days.

Spare Hours Needed!!!

Well it's turning out to be another very busy week again! I am surrounded by piles of camping equipment ready for our first trip of the season at the weekend. I'm just hoping the weather gets a bit better! There is loads to organise!!

When we come back I have my Tart & Tangy card class to prep for and my craft taster session at school to prep too!!

Jonathan being busy at work doesn't help much as he is bringing more work home with him.

Sadly my crafting time is being pushed out at the moment, which I'm not happy about, but I know that things will calm down soon!

Here is a card I made for my friend Rachel. She very kindly babysits for us when we have band rehersals, her fiance is our base guitarist. The boys gave her a goody bag with some socks, some yummy bubble bath and some lovely chocs!

I still have places left for my Tart & Tangy card class Thursday 7th May 8pm at my house. Cost is just £5 per person and includes refreshments. Just email me to let me know how many places you want.

Right I'm off to finish the ironing so we have some clothes to take with us at the weekend!!

What a Week!!

We have had a very busy week building up to today, Rosemary's baptism. As well as being her Godparents our worship band was playing as well so we have had extra rehersals this week and an early start this morning for a sound check and run through!!
Jonathan has also been working very late most nights this week, both for work and sorting out some of the technical things for todays service. I must say though, it all went very smoothly!

We have had a lovely day, but I am shattered now!

Well, here is the card I made for Rosemary. It was a bit of a rush job yesterday evening before we went for a meal with Rosemary's family, but I quiet like it!

I have had these flat back religious buttons for a while and have never used them, but I thought that the bible would be perfect for this special card.

I'll be back tomorrow with some more pics!!

Just a Note!

I've been trying to make some more samples for my display boards ready for my card classes etc. Here is a note card made with the Fresh Cut set and matching note cards from the mini catalogue.
The picture isn't the best!!

I'm making the most of the weather and tidying the garden, planting my pots and doing loads of washing!!
Hope you are all enjoying the weather too!
Don't forget to add a comment so I know you have popped by.

I'm Back!!

I'm back from my Easter break with my hubby. The boys were very well behaved for Nanny & Grandad, which made me feel happier and meant I relaxed!! Jonathan spoilt me! A lovely hotel, Shopping, a beautiful place with lovely views, more shopping, lots of lovely food and time for just us.

So now it's back to reality, so here is a card I made for a friend of Samuel and Ben's who's birthday was over the Easter break.

The papers are Basic Grey, which I don't normally like but these were perfect for a girly card!

I've used the SU All in the Family set to stamp a simple image, I didn't want anything too fussy as the papers are very busy. The flowers just finish it off!
Right I'm off to catch up with everyone then I need to do some washing!

Choo Choo!!!

I had a lovely parcel arrive the other day which had, suprise, suprise, some SU goodies in! It was mostly card stock and ribbons, but a little stamp set happened to fall into my basket!!

Sadly I haven't had time to play with it yet, but Samuel has!!

He had great fun playing with this set. He LOVES trains so he was perfect candidate to trial the set and it certainly gets his thumbs up! I am hoping to find a nice frame to put his picture in for him to have in his room.

I'll be back in a day or two with a card to show you, an automatic post, as Jonathan is taking me away for a few days. My birthday pressie from him and the boys. The boys are going to spend a few days with my parents, so no doubt will be spoilt rotten.

Have a very happy and blessed Easter.

Change of plan!

You can almost guarantee that when I plan something to do during a school holiday it doesn't quite go according to plan!
The boys were going to make Easter baskets yesterday, but they decided that as it was a nice day they wanted to be outside! Who can blame them!
So we have made them today instead, which means you will have til tomorrow to see the results of their handy work.

So it's back to a boring old card from me instead. This is a card I made for my friend Jo, who's birthday was just a few days ago.
I've used one of my favourite colour combinations, Chocolate Chip and Regal Rose with a lovely chunky ribbon. Simple but effective I think.

Don't forget.....
.....I still have places for Saturdays Forest Friends card class. To book your place just email me and I'll send you all the details.

I hope you can join me!

Easter Tree

So, it the half term holidays and Samuel has 2 weeks off school, so I am trying to find both him and Ben something creative and interesting to do each day.
Today the three of us sat together and made this Easter tree decoration for our dining table.

Our local supermarket has loads of kids Easter craft items in store, perfect for bored kids!!!! The boys loved making this, they made the animals and I added the flowers and eggs to the tree. And I have to say I think it looks great!! What do you think?

Tomorrow we are going to attempt to make some Easter baskets using some of my SU stamps. So don't forget to check back and see how we get on.

Easter Treat!

Well tomorrow is the day that Samuel finishes school for Easter so I made this for him to take to school for his teacher. I hope she likes it. There is a yummy chocolate suprise inside!

The basket is so easy to make and looks lovely in these new Tea Party papers from the new mini catalogue (you can place your orders now for items from the mini catalogue).

I used the tab punch to add my Easter greeting, something a bit different from a normal tag! And I used the lovely rabbit from the cute Forest Friends stamp set to add an Easter touch!

Oh and I just had to make a card to match too!!

All the items I have used to make the basket and card are from Stampin'Up and can be ordered through me, anytime day or night!!
