Easter Cupcakes

 Long time no see!!
I'm going to try and blog at least once a week to keep
you all updated.

Here's the first.....
a batch of Easter cupcakes ready for us to take to the Salvation Army
hall tomorrow for the all day cafe event.

I treated myself to a new professional icing set from Lakeland
that has wonderful large nozzles perfect for creating those large swirls
on top of cupcakes.
I think it worked really well.
What do you think???

Girly Birthday

After such a manic week I have found time to
show you this card I made for our niece who's birthday is today.
I've used a mix of stash from my draws as I'm trying to use up stuff rather than buy
anymore, well for a little while anyway!!!

The image is coloured using my promarkers and I've added the
chunky flower and ribbon for more interest and texture.

Tomorrow we are off to cousin David's farm to see all the new lambs.
Here's hoping it doesn't rain!!

Party Time!

It's almost party time again as Samuel's 7th birthday is just around the corner.
Now that makes me feel old, particularly as we have just remembered
the twins 8th anniversary!!

Now being a mega Lego fan he is having some friends round to
build Lego City, so of course the invites had to be Lego.

The other side has all the details on and so I'm not going to show it.
Now I have to turn my mind to his cake, yes a Lego cake!!!!

I'm off to catch up on some housework.

Milkshake Cupcakes

 Yummy!!!
These are cute mini milkshake cupcakes with strawberry milkshake
icing, topped with crispie chocolate balls!
 Making you feel hungry???

I'm finishing off costumes for the boys today and I'm hoping to find a bit of time
to do at least 1 scrapbook journal page.
I'm hoping I can get some photography done over the weekend too.

I'll be back with pictures for you.

Cool Boy Birthday

Hello!!
Here is a quick card that I made super fast in about 5 mins before
Samuel went to a friends birthday party at the weekend.

The image is coloured using my Promarkers and the papers I used are
from the Smirk range that Samuel chose for me to make his birthday
invitations with.

I've been busy digging around in charity shops sorting costumes for
World Book Day dress up at school.
Almost done, just a little creativity required now!!!!

I'll show you pictures later in the week.

Mix and Match

Afternoon!
I've 2 special scrapbook pages to show you today.
These are for a special album I have been trying to do for the last 8 years!!

These pages are made with some bargain kits I found in TK Maxx
not long after the January sales.
They are from American Crafts and were such a bargain price that I got 2!!
One for a boy and one for a girl.
I'm combinimg the 2 kits to make an album for my twins.

I'm so tired today, Samuel was up in the night with a high temp and up early again
this morning.
Which was bad planning, as it was my turn to do the All Age Worship meeting
this morning. Thankfully I was well prepared and it seemed to go well!!!!

It's (hopefully) back to school tomorrow so we have loads to do
so I best get on with it.
I'll be back tomorrow with a card to show you.

Birthday Tilda

Morning!!
Hope you're enjoying your half term holiday!

The boys have a busy week planned with 2 days at holiday club
doing all sorts of fab stuff including circus skills, while I'm at home getting some paperwork done!!

This is the card I made the other week for one of Ben's little girl friends.
I've somewhat neglected my Magnolia stamps so I am trying to make up for lost time.
This little one was still in it's packet!!!!

The papers are a selection out of my draw along with the other bits used.

I'm hoping to start working on Samuel's birthday invites this week as it's getting ever closer!
Baking and dvd's are on todays to do list.

Spread the Love!

In an amongst all the busy hectic stuff I've made 65 bookmarks
for the church youth group Electrify to use at the meeting they lead just before
Valentines day.

I kept them simple and used the Stampin'Up heart punches
and a heart stamp from the Simply Said stamp set to decorate the top of the
bookmark.

They used the bookmarks to spread the love!!!
They seemed to be appreciated by everyone who took one
along with the yummy heart chocs!

Well the boys have been kitted out with new glasses, and very smart they look too,
but today was my turn!!!
All this reading is starting to take it's toll on my eyes and I was told today
that my muscles in my eyes are getting weaker.
I'll show you my specs when I pick them up next week.

Valentines Bliss

Well Valentines has passed for another year (did you get spoilt?).
So I thought I ought to show you the card I made for Jonathan.
I lacked inspiration this year until I started playing around with these
 yummy vintage papers.

I added some hearts from the Simply Said stamp set and used my heart punches.
Ruffled ribbon for some texture and the Bliss stamp from my free
Stampin'Up stamp set.

Well I have a busy week, I have already sorted Ben with his new glasses,
I've been into school for stay and play, I have almost finished my first essay
on womens ministry and we have several meetings this week for our officership
application!!
Plus at some point I have to fit in all the usual stuff!

Best crack on with it.

Believe Again

 Hello!
Long time no see!
Here are some more cards that I made at Julies Jems day
using the Just Believe stamp set.

I've spent some time this week doing all sorts of stuff including
sorting out my craft space.
I've loads of things I had forgotten I had.
So I've started using them.
You'll see the results this week.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Cupcake Crazy!!

 Well, not quite cupcake crazy!!
This is the cupcake that Julie gave us all at the Jems all day
training, and it was very yummy!!! (didn't do the diet any good!!)

And look at the cute matching little bag we made.
I think I shall make some more of these for gift bags.
They are the perfect size to hold some of the miniture toiletries from
 Boots or The Body Shop.

Here's a close up of the lovely cupcake just to tempt you all!!!

I have loads of crafty things to do this week including a
65 bookmarks to make for church, several birthday cards to make,
and I need to make a start on Samuel's birthday invitations.
I also need to find time to finish hubby's valentines card.

So hopefully I'll have loads to show you!!

Just Believe!

Good morning!
Here is the first of my posts to show you what I got up to on Saturday
when I spent the day with Julie and her Jems!
We had a fab day of craft and chat.

I love this card, the colours are fab!!
Crumb Cake, Early Esspresso, Old Olive and Melon Mambo.

Both cards were made using the very lovely Just Believe stamp set
from Stampin'Up.

I had a lovely day with the Jems catching up and saying farewell
to my team mates. Not that they will get rid of me completely ; )

I'll be back tomorrow to share some more pics with you.

Twinkle Twinkle!

 Hello!

I've a card to show you today.
It's the card I made for the dedication of our friends latest addition.
The image is from a stamp I have had for ages, but it's very cute!
I've used muted blues and browns for this card, great for baby cards.

I've added pearls to add some glamour and a small amount of glitter
to the stars on the sentiment.

I have loads of cards to make over the next few days on top of
everything I need to get done!!!
Best get on as I need to get my craft bag ready for tomorrow's trip down the road to
see Julie and the lovely Jems for the last time :(
I'll fill you in on what we get up to on Monday.

Hold My Hand

I have another Bible study journal page to show you.
I've used a picture of Samuel's tiny hand taken shortly after he was born.
I can't believe he was so small!

I've kept this page nice and simple as the focus is the picture
and the Bible verse.
For those of you that are interested the bible verse I've used is
Psalm 37 v 23 & 24.

I'm having a busy week.
We are getting closer to a result on the planning permission for our church cafe,
so I spent the day yesterday at a local supplier to the catering trade
talking all things cafe, from fancy coffee machines, cups and teaspoons to display counters
and milk jugs!!
I am in the process of writing a VERY long shopping list!!

I'll be back tomorrow with something else crafty.

Birthday Page

Hello, sorry for the late post!!
Jonathan and I have spent most of today at the Salvation Army Hall
with the over 60's group, finding out what they get up to.

Here is another scrapbook page but this time it's a 6x6 page.
This one is for the boys album.
I haven't yet finished my next Bible study journel page!!!
Hopefully it will be ready to show you tomorrow.

This layout uses the brilliant Party This Way stamp set from Stampin'Up,
great for all things birthday!
The picture is of Ben's 1st birthday party, can't believe we have just had
his 5th!

Speaking of the kids, time to feed them again.
Enjoy your evening.

2 Little Monkeys!

Here is a card I made at the weekend for our God-Daughters
2nd birthday.
The monkeys are appropriate as she can be a little monkey, just like all
toddlers!!

I'm trying to use up scraps of card and papers from my drawer and scraps
of ribbons too!
I seem to have loads, I'm sure I hadn't put that much in the drawer!!

I'll be back tomorrow with another scrapbook page for my journel.

Scrapbook Journel

Good Morning.
Well you may have noticed a few changes I've made to my blog.

Sadly due to the many commitments I have and the very busy year ahead
I have had to resign from being a Stampin'Up demonstrator.
It's very sad and it hasn't been an easy decision to make,
but I know that it is the right thing to do.

But don't panic, I will hopefully still find the time to blog and craft.
And of course you can follow us through our journey into officership,
our move to London and beyond.

One of the things I have to do over the next few months is to keep both
a prayer and bible study journel.
Well what better way to for a crafter to keep a journel that to create
a scrapbook.

Here is the first one!
I'm using the blog 365 Promises (link is in my side bar) for prompts for my bible study.
Then I am picking my fav of the weeks passages to scrap and reflect on.
Plus it's also a gret of me doing something creative with all these
photos I have!!

Funnily enough there will be more of these over the next weeks and months!

but you may have noticed that I have started to make a few changes
to my blog.
There will be more made over the next few days
so make sure you pop back to check them out and tell me what
you think.

Lets Eat Cake!!

Good Morning!
Sorry for not having posted for a few days,
our house has been very busy last week and over the weekend.
Full of birthday fun for Ben.

The picture above is Ben's birthday cake.
Now I have to confess I didn't make the cake as I was soooo busy but
I did decorate it.

Watch out this week for some changes to my blog.

Ooooh!!

Would you be suprised if I told you how busy we
have been, even though the boys only went back to school today!!

Wednesday is Ben's 5th birthday!
I can't believe he will be 5, my little man is growing up!
This is the card I have made for his birthday.

He loves Toy Story, in particular the aliens.
Great excuse to get my punches out and create.

This afternoon I managed to make these cute cupcakes.

Yummy lemon, Ben's favourite flavour.
Think I might put one in his lunch box school tomorrow.
