Desk Set Box

Hello!
Hope you are all enjoying your Bank Holiday!
I'm busy catching up on bits before we go on our camping trip later
in the week.

Here is a box I have made using a template I found one evening when
searching the t'internet!!
It's for a desk set.
This lovely box holds note cards and envelopes and
sits nicely on any desk.

I've used the colour combination Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink and Rich Razzelberry.
Very spring like!
I've added a hat pin and some beads from the pretties kit as my
decoration to keep it simple yet sophisticated (I hope!!).

And here is the box with it's co-ordinating note cards.
I'll show you those tomorrow.

Right I'm off to get some more jobs done.

Bravo Challenge!

Good Morning!
It's a bit grey and drizzly here, hope it brightens up
for half term next week!!

Here is a quick card I made last night after the boys had gone to bed.
I have have challenged myself to use a colour I have never used before...
Bravo Burgundy!!

I've teamed it with Bordering Blue and Soft Suede.
It doesn't look too bad!
A good colour combination for blokes cards.

The stamp set I have used is Pocket Silhouettes
and I've used my neglected Oval and Scalloped Oval punches
for the sentiment.
I've added a bit of detail using the paper piercer
and of course I just had to use some new yummy dotty ribbon
in Soft Suede!!

Yesterday was a busy day which included me going to school
to see Ben at his May Pole dancing.

Here he is skipping round the pole with his ribbon.
Aww bless him!

Right I have to get some housework done while I wait for a
large Stampin'Up parcel to arrive!

New Colour Workshop

Wow what a lovely weekend of sun!
It was busy though.
It started off with a a fab workshop at my firiend Rebecca's.

Here is the card we all made using the 3 new Stampin'Up colours,
Rich Razzelberry, Soft Suede and Melon Mambo!
And there is some yummy new dotty ribbon too!
We used the vintage wheel and the flower from the Vintage Vogue stamp set.

We the used a punch to create 2 small holes like a button in the
centre of the flowers to thread the ribbon through.
The flower is the stuck down with dimentionals.

Right I'm off to take the boys to school then it's off to work!
See ya later x

Criss Cross Cross!

Good Morning!!
Wow what a fab sunny day!
We are off out to take the boys and the bikes onto the viaduct for some fresh air and sunshine!

Here is another of the sunny spring inspired cards from
this weeks card class.
A criss cross note card using the Special Blessings
stamp set.

We used the Vintage Vogue set too at create the background on the pocket
and the insert.
No tying of bows or knots here!!
The ribbon just wraps round and the join is hidden under
the cross.

Perfect card for a wedding, baptism of just a special day!

Right I'm off to get my running stuff on so that I can keep up the boys on there bikes!!
Enjoy your sunny weekend.

On Your Special Day

Morning!
Hope you are enjoying the warmer weather.
This card is inspired by all the lovely blossom colours around.
Barely Banana, Certainly Celery and Chocolate Chip work so well
together and remind me of blossoms on trees with new, fresh
green leaves.

This is one of the cards that my lovely ladies will be making tomorrow evening
at my card class.

Here you can see that I have used the Vintage Vogue stamp set
along with the Special Blessings set.
The dove has been cut out and raised up slightly using dimentionals.
Oh and the ribbon adds a touch of class!!!

Right I'm off to get some card and paper cut as I have
a busy crafting week.

Mambo Silhouettes

I finally found some time to craft over the weekend,
after such a busy week with poorly children, I needed to catch up!!

I've been playing with my NEW Melon Mambo card a ribbon.
I've made this very simple card using Pocket Silhouettes, Kraft, Melon Mambo,
So Saffron and Soft Suede.

I love this dotty ribbon!
Not sure as I will use much of it as I want to keep all of it!!!

I need to play with the other colours now!
Right I'm off to my carft desk while I have some time.

Spring Pocket

Afternoon!
Well the sun is shining here, shame it's not warmer as it would
be a great day for being in the garden.

Here is a lovely spring inspired card that a used as a demonstration
at one of my workshops.
And yes it uses the Vintage Vogue stamp set!!!
Bashful Blue, Barely Banana and Chocolate Chip
are a great combination.

Here is the note card inside the criss-cross pocket.
with more Vinatge stamping down the sides.

Sorry it's such a short post, but I have a bad few days again
with a poorly boy, this time it's Ben.

Morning!
Hope you had a good weekend.
Ours was quite busy as usual.

It's a gloomy start to the day here, so here is a bright, cheerful
card to brighten your day.

This card is very simple but looks great 'cos of the bright Pink Passion
card and ink.
The background is the new A-Z stamp from the mini catalogue
and the hearts are from the I{heart}hearts stamp set.

I've added some linen thread and some flat back pearls from the
Pretties Kit.

Perfect card for a girlfriend or best friend!

Right busy day, kids to school, me to work

Vintage Scrap

I though it was time for a change
so I have done a scrapbook page using some of the photos I
took when we went to York for the day on Bank Holiday Monday.
And you can't viist York without visiting the minster,
such an impressive building!

The perfect colour scheme to compliment the photos
is Kraft (soon to be known as Crumb Cake), Bashful Blue and Whisper White.
And the prefect stamp set is of course Vintage Vogue.
I've used stamped some of the flowers using the
"rock & roll" method and some Crystal Effects.

The torn paper down the side is the lovely Bride designer paper
with a strip of Bashful Blue paper added on top.

I really ought to make more time to scrap more family
photos (like most people we have loads!!) and I've really enjoyed doing this page.

Oh well, back to making cards!
