Vintage Harvest

Hello!

I've been playing with my punches again
and made this.....

... a harvest of fruits and veggies!
This card would make a lovely thank you card
and perfect for the season.

The colours used are Old Olive, Soft Suede,
Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler.
Very autumnal colours.

Here's the arty shot so you can see some of the detail.

The background is stamped using the versatile En Francais
stamp, the Soft Suede Layer is torn to add texture.
The Very Vanilla layer is distressed using a sponge dauber
and Crumb Cake ink.

I'll show you part 2 of the harvest over the weekend.

Have a good day.

Festive Greetings!

Hello again!
It's very cold here this morning.
I had to clear ice of the windscreen this morning!!!!

Hopefully this will warm you up.

This is the card I made with the lovely ladies who came to
Michelle's workshop on Monday evening.
We used Cherry Cobbler (yum!!), Early Espresso and Old Olive
to make this warm festive greeting card.

The ornament is made using the Contempo Christmas stamp set
and the matching punch.
We stamped and punched 3 of them, folded them in half,
stuck them together to create a 3D bauble and
stuck it to the card! Simple but very effective.
It would look fab with some glitter too.

Busy day for me, so I best crack on.
I'm off to take Ben to the hospital for his regular hearing test.
I'll be back tomorrow.

Dashing Through The Snow...

...in a one horse open sleigh!!

Morning!

I'm very busy today making samples of prayer gifts to be used
at the Salvation Army Divisional Congress in November.

I've sat down with a cuppa for a few minutes to show you this.

This is the card I demonstrated last night at Michelle's
workshop.
We turned our thoughts to Christmas and made a card using
the Contempo Christmas set which I'll show tomorrow.

Back to Dasher, he is stamped in Chocolate Chip onto a Bashful Blue background
with a torn strip of Whisper White for the snow.
The background is sponged with a dauber and Bashful Blue ink and
stamped with a mini snowflake in white craft ink.
I've added silver brads and flat backed gems for some glitz
and glitter for the sparkle on the snow.
It's matted on a layer of Chocolate Chip card thats edged
using the scallop border punch.

Right tea break over.
Catch you later!

A Monster Birthday

Morning!
Hope you are looking forward to your week!

We've had a busy weekend, again!!!
Jonathan's Mum came over for lunch yesterday
which gave us chance to give her cards and gifts
for her birthday.

This is the card I made for the boys to give to Grandma.

I've used the fab Make a Monster stamp set
with Regal Rose, So Saffron, Soft Suede and Old Olive.
The sentiment is from the Cheers & Wishes set.
The fancy edges are made using the eyelet border punch and as usual I added
ribbon for a bit of texture and glam!!

Right then I'm off to get ready for Michelle's workshop
this evening.

Have a good day

RIP Alvin!

Sorry for not having posted over the
last few days.
It's turning a traumatic week.
The boys pet hamster Alvin had started to slow down,
old age we thought, but it turns out he was rather poorly.

He started to get noticably unwell on Tuesday.
He had not really been eating or drinking and was stuggling to get out of his cage.
Yesterday he got even worse
so we took him to the vets where we had an emtional farewell.

It turned out he had stomach cancer and there was nothing they
could do.

The boys were very upset, but we were able to take him and bury
him in a very special place.
We then printed pictures of Alvin for the boys to have in their room
by their beds.

I've finally found some time to craft
so pop back later and I'll show you what I've been up to.

Birthday Bunting

Morning!
Hope you are well.
It's an early start for us here as Jonathan and I are
off on a bible study day as part of our
candidating for officership.

My parents are coming up for the weekend and
are looking after the kids for the day.

Here is a quick card.

This is made using loads of new goodies from the
brand new catalogue.
The bunting is made using the very versatile Playful Pieces hostess set
and the mat pack and piercing tool.
The sentiment is from the new Perfect Punches set
and is mounted onto the new Fancy Flower punch.

The colour scheme is Real Red, Bashful Blue, Pacfic Point
and Pear Pizzaz.

Hope you enjoy your weekend.
