Thank You Sweet Pea!

My very good friend Nigel asked me if I would make
him a thank you card.
So I decided it was time to use some of my NEW Sweet Pea
Designer Papers from the NEW Stampin'Up
mini catalogue which is officially out Thursday!!!

And I can certainly recommend that you add this great
value paper pack to your shopping list.

I've used some of the paper to make some more "rubbish" flowers.
I then sprayed the card with a mix of the NEW Stampin'Up
Shimmer Paint and alchol solution to add a lovely subtle glitter
finish.

I seem to be having a bit of a manic week again, but am soooo
looking forward to the Easter break and some time off!!
And of course hopefully some more time for crafting!

I'll be back tomorrow so share pics of my wonderful birthday pressie!!

Awww!! Cute bunnies!!!
This is one of the cards we made at the Easter Notes card

These sweet bunnies are from the Forest Friends stamp set
and of course is perfect for Easter.
The papers are from the Sunny Day simply scrappin kit, and looking at
the weather we need a bit of help where sun is concerned!!!

Just a short post today.
I have had a very busy weekend and I am shattered!!

Hopefully I'll post again tomorrow.

Special Blessing

As things are almost back normal round here I thought I ought to
post some pictures of a card.
I made this wedding card at the end of last week at the request of a friend of
mine who was attending a wedding over the weekend.
So I used the very appropriate Special Blessings stamp set with the lovely
Bride designer papers, they are so beautiful it was a shame to cut
them, but they are lovely to work with.

On the pull out I stamped the vine from the Fresh Cuts stamp set in
Certainly Celery with more of the Bride papers as a background.

And here is the dove on the front.
I used dimensionals to lift it off the card slighly.

Ben has been back to nursery today so I've had a busy day
catching up on some of the jobs I was hoping to do over the
weekend or yesterday!!

Right I'm off to finish planning my card class for Thursday evening.

Just to let you know.....

......that Ben is back home after is ordeal over the weekend.
He has been given strict instructions to not run about, play rough
and tumble games and no PE for a week to reduce the risk
of another head injury!!!
Easier said than done with a 4 yr old boy!!!

Hopefully he will be back at school tomorrow when he has
eaten and got some strength back.
At the moment he is enjoying watching the telly after having
not been allowed to for 48 hrs!!

Hopefully I'll be back later when the boys are in bed
to show you my latest creation.

Hope you have a good day.

Birthday Cake

Well here it is!!
I've spent most of yesterday making this football
cake for Samuel's party this evening.

The bottom of the cake is meant to be grass or a
football pitch.

This is the bit I like, the creative bit on the top!!

Hopefully it will be big enough to feed all 13 children
that are coming to his party.

Right I'm off to make sure that everything is ready.

Football Mad

It's Samuel's 6th birthday today, Happy Birthday!!
So of course I had to make a card with a football theme.
He is football mad!

I've used the All in the Family set with the accesssories set to create
him his own football team.

These little boys are quite cute!!

Sorry for it being such a short post, I am half way through
making Samuel's birthday cake.
I then have work this afternoon then birthday tea to prepare.

Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with pictures of the finished cake!!

Hap-pea Birthday!

Wow whata manic week this is turning into!!
I seem to have spent the last 2 days just running around all
over the place, picking things up here, dropping things off elsewhere,
and I still have several very busy days ahead!!

So I've only got time for a short post.
I made this card in a bit of a rush this afternoon.
I needed a funny birthday card for our friend Tim, Happy Birthday!!

Whenever he comes round for dinner I have to make sure
I do some peas 'cos he is a bit fussy about his veggies!

So what better thing to put on his card than some peas!

I've used some lovely bright colours again from the
Sunny Day simply scrappin kit as they were sat on my desk!

Right off to sort the kids out then start making
 Samuel's birthday cake.

A Sneak Peak!!!!

Ssshhhh!!
Don't tell anyone I am showing you this card!
I have used 2 new items that I know you are all going to love,
but I can't say anymore until 1st April, which isn't that far off!!!

I've used some cheerful colours for this card.
The paper and card stock is from the Sunny Day scrappin kit.

Here is an arty angle so you can see that I have made the cute monkey 3D.

Well I hope you all had a lovely weekend.
I certainly did.
We did most of our Mothers Day things on the
Saturday as we are soooo busy on Sundays.
So Saturday morning I was bought breakfast in bed and
then we went to collect the daffodils that we
needed for church from the florist.
After lunch we took the boys over to collect Grandma (Jonathans Mum)
so we could go to cousin Davids farm to see all the cute lambs.

Samuel had fun running round after the lambs but Ben wasn't so sure!!
They fed the hens and went egg collecting and had a ride in the tractor.
Jonathan and the boys took Grandma and I out for dinner.
Then I spent Saturday night tieing ribbon round 50 bunches of daffodils!!!
Sunday I was given lots of lovely gifts from the boys, a new coat,
some cd's and handmade gifts and cards from school.

Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with some more pics for you.

Mothers Day Take Away!

I've just finished making this cute little take-away box for the boys to give to
Grandma (Jonathan's Mum) when we see her tomorrow.
It's made using the lovely Stampin'Up Kraft card stock, Chocolate Chip and Regal Rose
with some Pretty in Pink brads and buttons for good measure!

I decided it was time to use the lovely Simply Said stamp set,
as I don't seem to have used it for a while, and it is perfect
for Mothers Day, with lots of hearts and flowers.
The hearts in the picture above were punched out using the
co-ordinating heart punch which is only avaliable for this month!!!

Here is the other side.

And of course a piccy of what I put inside, some lovely
colour co-ordinated chocolate caramel hearts!
Yummy!!

And finally a quick piccy of some of my lovely customers enjoying one of the
make & take projects at last nights Stampin'Up Experience evening in Sheffield.
We all had a lovely time.
It was great to meet up with demonstrators and friends I haven't seen for a while
and to meet new faces too, including some of my blog readers,
hello Angela (waves)!!

Right I'm off to catch up on some paper work before collecting Samuel from school.
Hope you all have a great weekend and
Happy Mothers Day!

Special Blessings

Hello!! Just a quick post today.
I needed a sympathy card to take with me this afternoon for
an elderly gentleman at the over 60's clubwho has sadly lost his wife.

So I quickly made this card this morning after taking the boys to
school.

I've used the lovely Special Blessings stamp set for the dove,
En Francais background stamp and the sentiment is from
the Trendy Trees set.

And I've used one of my fav colour combo's So Saffron, Close to Cocoa and Rose Red.

Right I'm off.
Catch you later.

Button-fly!

Do you like butterflies?
Hopefully it won't be too long before we start to see them in the garden.
But for now we will have to make do with the paper variety!!

These butterflies were punched using the Stampin'Up butterfly punch
that matches the Flight of The Butterfly stamp set.

I've used Close to Cocoa to stamp the background, Kraft and Pretty in Pink for this card
with some buttons and thread for extra detail.

Don't forget you can get 20% of the price of the
punch when you buy it with the
co-ordinating stamp set.

Just email me to place your order now!

Over 60 Boxes!!

No I haven't made over 60 boxes!!
But I have been making boxes with the over 60's club at the church I'm working at.

It was very difficult to find a craft project that suited everyone
in the group.
They are all elderly but many have disabilities too.
So I kept it really simple.
The boxes were all cut and scored so all that was needed
was some stampin' and sticking!

I kept the colours simple too so not to add confusion!
So we used Pale Plum and Certainly Celery.

The flowers and jems were out of the craft box at church
but everything else is from Stampin'Up.

I probably ought to make some more boxes ready for
Mothers Day and Easter, not 60 though!!

Rubbish Flowers!!

I've made a start on making Mothers Day cards, but wanted something that wasn't
too modern for Jonathan's Mum.
I found this layout and addapted it slightly.
I wanted to try and create a vintage type look, not sure I have quite managed!!
More practice is needed I think.

These flowers are soooo simple to make.
Punched circles in different sizes, roughen the edges then screw them up.
Just like a piece of rubbish!!
I've only layered 2 circles, which I think was a mistake.
It would look better with another layer.
I've added some buttons for a cute finish.
The paper by the way is from the Stampin Up hostess paper pack.

Arty angle so you can see the background stamp, En Francais.
Again I roughed the edges and I inked the edges of the Old Olive card
to add to the vintage type look.

Oh well I have a workshop to prepare for tomorrow,
I'm running a craft session for the over 60's group!!
