and that the time you spend together as a family will

One job we still have to do is deliver some pressies
to our local friends.
These are what I have made this year.

Santa boxes full of chocs!!! Yummm!

They are made using my fav SU colour Cherry Cobbler
and loads of the fab SU punches with some Dazzling Diamonds glitter
for a bit glitz!

Right time to watch the CBeebies panto with the boys.

Wrapped and Ready!

Hello!

Hope you are having a  good weekend.
We have had yet more snow and with us all being rather tired
and abit under the weather we decided we would stay
at home today.
We have done some jobs and I've managed to make my first batch of mince pies.
Looks like they won't last long though!!!

Anyway here is a picture of the teachers gifts all wrapped up in organza bags
with the hand made tags ready or the boys to take
to school.
I made the holly and berries using my Stampin'Up punches.

Right I'm off for an early night in the hope I feel a little
more myself ready for a busy Sunday with the boys
Nativity at Church.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Teacher Gifts

Hello!

Sorry for not blogging, the last week or so has run away with me.
What with 2 school Nativities, 3 Christmas parties,
final preparation for Christmas and illness I've had little time.

I finally managed to make the gifts for the boys teachers.

I've had this kit in my craft desk for a while but I've never used it!!!
So I decided it was perfect for these gifts.

I think these little calenders are cute and will look great hung up by the
teachers desk.

Sorry for such a short post but I've another busy day
with school things, appointments and the all important church Nativity
rehearsal.

Have a good day.

Little Gift

Good Morning!!!

I've turned my attention to making little gifts and lots of them
for family, friends and teachers!

These cute little note pads were a bargain and didn't really
look much.
I've transformed them by covering them with Newsprint Designer Series Paper.
The paper is edged with Pink Pirouette ink
and has a piece of Pretty in Pink card decorated with
the lovely corner punch.

The felt flowers are sadly retired but I have a few that
needed using up and they are perfect for these little gifts.
I've also added some rhinestones to give a bit of bling!!!

Right I'm off to school this afternoon to go back to the classroom
to learn phonics with Ben.

Enjoy your day.

Class Cancelled

Sadly due to the very bad weather
I am cancelling tomorrows card class.

I don't want anyone to put themselves at risk by venturing out.
It's been so bad that school closed early (after opening at 9:45!) and I
had to walk a 4 mile round trip to pick up the boys!!

This was the scene on the way to school.

And buy the time we got back to our village this was the amount of snow on top
of my car!! Which we had used this morning to get to school!!!

We have had about 10inches now and it is still snowing!!!
It isn't meant to stop until some time tomorrow!

So stay inside and wrap up warm.

Santa baby!

Hello!!

Sorry I've not posted for so long!!
We have been mega busy and we have all be under the weather too.

Any way here is the scrapbook layout I did with the December kit.

All the bits are from the kit except for the holly, which was cut on my Cricut.
It's not so easy to see but the background is stamped using my Serene Snowflake stamp set.

Which is quite appropriate as we have had a far dumping of snow and
there is more to come later tonight!
The journey to school wasn't the best but thankfully school had a
late start.

I've been in the garden and taken a few wintry pictures.

Enjoy the snow and keep warm

Good morning!!
It's very gloomy and wet here. Hope it cheers up!

Anyway here is a crafty post
to cheer up the day.

This card is one of the make and takes from
Convention using the lovely stamp set
Just Believe
(which I got FREE in my bag at Convention!!).

We had chance to play with the new watercolour paper and
the new colour spritzer tool, which I love!!!

After stamping the image on the watercolour paper
we sprayed it lightly with water to create this lovely effect.

UPDATE!
Pictures of the first Simply Scrappin' Club kit
will be posted on Friday.

Convention Eve!

WOW!!!
What a wonderful weekend I had at Convention!

Over the next few days I'll show you pictures of what we got up to.

Today I'm going to show you some lovely gifts.
The first is the gift I gave to my room mate and downline,
Anthea.

I used Baja Breeze card to make a cute little triangle box
which I put some miniture smellies in.
The box was distressed with Crumb Cake ink and decorated
using the heart from the Level 1 hostess set, Punch Popourri,
and the flowers from the Vintage Vouge set.

I added one of the lovely new flat backed pearls to
finish it off.

When I arrived at the hotel and got to my room I found these
lovely gifts on my pillow from Anthea.
They are lovely! Thank you again Anthea!

My lovely Stampin'Up "Grandma" Monica had organised a lovely
pre convention party for the Thursday night.
But sadly due to the horrible journey down, in all the
wind and rain, I didn't arrive in time the rest of the team.
But Monica gave me a lovely goody bag with these bits inside!

And this is the cute bag they were in!!

I'll pop back tomorrow to show you all the pics I took
from the first day of convention.

But I'll leave you with one lovely piece of news.
Next year's convention will be in France, well to be more precise
a very magical part of France!

Any ideas as to where??????

DISNEY LAND PARIS!!!!!!!

And you can be there too to share the fun and magic.
How, I hear you cry????

Join my lovely team, Sarah's sweet stampers and you could be
on your way to see Mickey and his friends while also sharing some stampin' fun.

Email me for more information

Have a wonderful day

Autumn Days

Morning!

I've managed to find 5 minutes to make a quick post.
Taking a well deserved tea break from making my last lot of swaps
and gifts ready for Stampin'Up Convention.
Only 1 sleep to go!!!!

So here is another autumn inspired card.
Another pumpkin made using my punches and the lovely
bird, made using the bird punch.

Plenty of distressing on this card too,
using the sponge dauber and Crumb Cake ink pad.

Sorry it's such a short post, but I have loads to do
including housework and packing!

Enjoy your day!

Phew!!!

As the days go by they seem to
be getting more and more hectic!!!

But I have finally finished the 100
bookmarks ready for the
Salvation Army Teratorial Congress.

There are 2 designs, 50 of each, for the prayer area.
The theme is light, so there will be tealights and flame lamps
galore. So to keep with the theme we picked a read and yellow
colour theme.
For the bookmarks I have used Rose Red and So Saffron with some
Regal Rose and Chocolate Chip ribbon.

I'm amazed that I have managed to get these done
with having had a such a busy weekend.
We managed to find time to take the boys to see
Dispicable Me. It was soooo funny and well worth seeing.
The all day Sunday was spent at church.
Jonathan and I led our first meeting with me preaching!!!!!
It seemed to go well, which is a relief!!

Right I need to put the finishing touches to the 100
prayer cards.

I might just then be able to get done all the things on my list
for convention on Thursday.

Buried Under A Pile....

.....of bookmarks!!!

Sorry for not posting yesterday.
I've managed to find time to craft, but the crafting is not for me.
A few days ago I mentioned I had made some samples
of prayer gifts for the Salvation Army Teritorial Congress
in a weeks time.

Well they liked my samples
and now I am buried somewhere under a pile of
strips of card that are slowly being turned into bookmarks,
100 to be exact!!!

And thats before I start on the prayer cards!!!

I'm hoping to get loads more done today so I'll post pics of the bookmark
mountain when I an somewhere near finished.
If you don't hear anything from me you may need to send a search party!

Vintage Harvest 2

Morning!
Hope you had a lovely weekend.
We had a fab weekend with friends in Wales
and dispite the late nights sat talking and sharing,
we have come back refreshed and full of a new
confidence in our candidating for officership.

Time to show you another harvest card.

This one had a turnip, made from the ornament punch and a marrow,
made from the oval punch.
The colour combo for the base of the card is the same as the previous one.

Hope you like!!

Well it's half term and it's raining so I need to find a way of entertaining
2 little boys!!
Hopefully I'll have chance for some crafting too!

Vintage Harvest

Hello!

I've been playing with my punches again
and made this.....

... a harvest of fruits and veggies!
This card would make a lovely thank you card
and perfect for the season.

The colours used are Old Olive, Soft Suede,
Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler.
Very autumnal colours.

Here's the arty shot so you can see some of the detail.

The background is stamped using the versatile En Francais
stamp, the Soft Suede Layer is torn to add texture.
The Very Vanilla layer is distressed using a sponge dauber
and Crumb Cake ink.

I'll show you part 2 of the harvest over the weekend.

Have a good day.

Festive Greetings!

Hello again!
It's very cold here this morning.
I had to clear ice of the windscreen this morning!!!!

Hopefully this will warm you up.

This is the card I made with the lovely ladies who came to
Michelle's workshop on Monday evening.
We used Cherry Cobbler (yum!!), Early Espresso and Old Olive
to make this warm festive greeting card.

The ornament is made using the Contempo Christmas stamp set
and the matching punch.
We stamped and punched 3 of them, folded them in half,
stuck them together to create a 3D bauble and
stuck it to the card! Simple but very effective.
It would look fab with some glitter too.

Busy day for me, so I best crack on.
I'm off to take Ben to the hospital for his regular hearing test.
I'll be back tomorrow.

Dashing Through The Snow...

...in a one horse open sleigh!!

Morning!

I'm very busy today making samples of prayer gifts to be used
at the Salvation Army Divisional Congress in November.

I've sat down with a cuppa for a few minutes to show you this.

This is the card I demonstrated last night at Michelle's
workshop.
We turned our thoughts to Christmas and made a card using
the Contempo Christmas set which I'll show tomorrow.

Back to Dasher, he is stamped in Chocolate Chip onto a Bashful Blue background
with a torn strip of Whisper White for the snow.
The background is sponged with a dauber and Bashful Blue ink and
stamped with a mini snowflake in white craft ink.
I've added silver brads and flat backed gems for some glitz
and glitter for the sparkle on the snow.
It's matted on a layer of Chocolate Chip card thats edged
using the scallop border punch.

Right tea break over.
Catch you later!

A Monster Birthday

Morning!
Hope you are looking forward to your week!

We've had a busy weekend, again!!!
Jonathan's Mum came over for lunch yesterday
which gave us chance to give her cards and gifts
for her birthday.

This is the card I made for the boys to give to Grandma.

I've used the fab Make a Monster stamp set
with Regal Rose, So Saffron, Soft Suede and Old Olive.
The sentiment is from the Cheers & Wishes set.
The fancy edges are made using the eyelet border punch and as usual I added
ribbon for a bit of texture and glam!!

Right then I'm off to get ready for Michelle's workshop
this evening.

Have a good day

RIP Alvin!

Sorry for not having posted over the
last few days.
It's turning a traumatic week.
The boys pet hamster Alvin had started to slow down,
old age we thought, but it turns out he was rather poorly.

He started to get noticably unwell on Tuesday.
He had not really been eating or drinking and was stuggling to get out of his cage.
Yesterday he got even worse
so we took him to the vets where we had an emtional farewell.

It turned out he had stomach cancer and there was nothing they
could do.

The boys were very upset, but we were able to take him and bury
him in a very special place.
We then printed pictures of Alvin for the boys to have in their room
by their beds.

I've finally found some time to craft
so pop back later and I'll show you what I've been up to.

Here is a quick card.

This is made using loads of new goodies from the
brand new catalogue.
The bunting is made using the very versatile Playful Pieces hostess set
and the mat pack and piercing tool.
The sentiment is from the new Perfect Punches set
and is mounted onto the new Fancy Flower punch.

The colour scheme is Real Red, Bashful Blue, Pacfic Point
and Pear Pizzaz.
