Tasty!

I have finally used my Tart and Tangy stamp set that has been sat on the shelf looking back at me for ages!

I've been playing around with different colours, trying to plan more card classes.

This set is a perfect "pick me up" at this time of year, it's screems SUMMER! And the co-ordinating Picnic Papers in Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red, with flowers and fruit are the perfect combination.

So Tasty!

A space of my own

I have spent some time tidying and sorting my craft space. I only have a small space but it is MINE!! Away from the kids and their toys, away from the telly, a quiet corner just for me.

So here it is.

This desk was my bargain buy from Ikea in a sale a few years ago, it's actually a baby changing unit but it works so well as a desk. I can shut it all away as the main desk part folds up and cover the usual mess!!

I love working at my desk as it is in the far corner of our bedroom at the back of our house that over looks a cobbled street (just like the old Hovis advert, the one with the delivery boy on his bike) and you can see the hills in the distance.

Pretty in Pink!!

I've been messing about with design ideas for my Valentines card class. This is one of my latest attempts. I'm not so sure about the colours, I think I have used far too much pink!

The overall design is ok so I've found a different colour scheme for my class which I am much happier with! Not so much pink! All I need to now is to play about with a gift bag or box design to go with the cards.

Gift from God

Well as promised, here is a special card for a very special baby girl, Rosemary Faith.

I love this stamp and bought it knowing it would get some use one day! But I had saved it specially for this moment. I coloured it using my watercolour pencils and waterbrush and the card and papers are all Stampin'Up. The tag and name were cut using my Cricut.

I struggled to find a verse that said what I wanted to so I came up with this. I think it says all it needs to.

I can't wait to give this to our friends.

Hopefully I'll have more cards tomorrow.

No Cards

Sorry there are no cards today, I'm suffering from a nasty tonsilitis! I feel like I have golf ball stuck in my throat! I'm only managing to eat soup and yogurts and I'm using the kids calpol as I can manage tablets. The doc gave me some liquid antibiotics that taste fowl!!YUCK!!

I'm hoping to be making a very special baby card this evening.
Our best friends are, fingers crossed, having there little bundle of joy delivered this afternoon by section.
This baby is so very special and proves that prayer really does work and that God has a wonderful plan for us all. And of course this baby has very, very special parents too!

Mini Me!

Well now that Christmas and Ben's birthday are over it's time to send out their thank you cards.
I found some 3x3 mini cards and decided the perfect set to use was my new All in the Family set that I had as a thank you gift from my friend and upline Julie (thank you Julie I love it!).
And of course a thank you note from 2 little boys just had to have 2 little boys on the front. Don't they look cute?

I used Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue and Pale Plum Stampin'Up markers to colour the boys clothes, Certainly Celery card stock for the scallop circle and I used the thank you stamp from the Seeing Spots set and Brocade Blue ink pad for the background.
Don't forget if you wish to order any items from the Stampin'Up catalogue or book a workshop then just drop me an email at pitts@blueyonder.co.uk

Cake!!

Yesterday we had a house full of 1,2 and 3 year olds for Ben's 3rd birthday party and of course he had to have a Roary the Racing Car cake.

So I spent all Friday afternoon making this....

It turned out a bit better than last years Thomas!!

Ben's birthday is actually tomorrow so I am now off to get Samuels uniform and bits ready for school and to put the finishing touches to Ben's card.

Happy New Year

to everyone!

I don't really make resolutions, there's the usual must lose a few pounds in weight, go to the gym more but this year I have decided I need to make at least 2 cards a week. I know that I have loads of birthdays and other occassions through the year that need cards but I still seem to end up making them the night before!!

Card making is one area where I struggle to organise myself, for everything else I write a list!

So here is my first card of the new year.

I used the Botanical Blooms Sale-a-bration set, Bashful Blue card stock and So Saffron and Brocade Blue inks. The ribbon is a scrap I found in my ribbon pot.
I love these colours as they are really spring like and help brighten a gloomy winters day.
Don't forget you can get hold of these lovely stamps from the 1st January until 28th Febraury by placing an order with me for just £45 (before p&p). There are 4 lovely sets to choose from.
Remeber though they are only avaliable for the Sale-a-bration, after that they won't be avaliable.
As a workshop hostess you can earn free Sale-a-bration sets too when your workshop reaches sales 0f £300 plus there is all the usual benefits too!!
Sign up to join me as a demonstrator and you can select any set (value up to £38.95) from the normal catalogue free!! Plus if you sign up as a demo I'll throw in a gift as well!
